My family’s favorite model from Jeanneau is the Leader 9.0. With a length of 30’8”, Beam of 9’9”, and 500 HP compliments of Yamaha…the boat is the perfect package to entertain families and pack gear for our annual camping trip to Warren Island in Penobscot Bay.
Last month, the Hamlin’s Marine found a new application for a Leader 9.0. We pulled the cushions and tables out and went offshore fishing for sharks! The Leader 9.0 was comfortable and capable for a crew of 8. Here are some highlights of the trip:
Today, I’m at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, far from home and the terrible mass shooting that has rocked my home state of Maine. It feels strange to be showing boats to prospective buyers while my family is dealing with cancelled dances and sporting events, but it also reminds me of how boating has pulled my family closer together over the years. Boating provides both connection and escape when necessary.
The Leader 9.0 Series 2 was just released with some very nice upgrades from past models. The hard top now has a powder- coated aluminum frame that cuts a lot of weight, and provides a more contemporary look.
The interior upholstery and cushion set has also been updated for a more sporty, edgy look.
Also, new for the Leader 9.0 Series 2 is the ultra cool drop down terrace for boarding from the side and opening up the cockpit.
