Why Worry? Go Fishing.

 

When life gives you lemons, Go Fishing.   I can't complain...well, maybe I can.  I live in a country with an identity crisis, am raising teenage girls in the Tik Tok age, and watching the morning news makes me want to go on an anti-depressant.  

You know what doesn't suck?  Fishing.  Fishing never sucks even when it sucks.  I had the opportunity to take two amazing fishing trips last month with some guys at Hamlin's Marine.  

The first one kind was a tough one...rough seas, putrified bait, and fog as thick as wool.  Spent too much time getting tangled in lobster trawls southeast of Matinicus Rock and ended up getting skunked.

The second trip may be the best day I've ever spent on the water.  Fresh mackerel bait, perfect weather, and six hookups.  Our men fought the king of Maine sharks...the Mako!  Goal was to harvest one for some steaks, but weren't able to hook onto a keeper.  Next Time!
